Project Runway Season 22 Finale During New York Fashion Week
NEW YORK — GZTV was invited to the Project Runway Season 22 finale during New York Fashion Week, where the final designers presented their collections after a season that brought together 22 designers —the largest cast in the show’s history. The finale featured Anna Molinari, Bi Pham, Joseph McRae, and Jude Mikulencak, with Jude ultimately announced as the Season 22 winner.
THE FINALISTS
Jude Mikulencak — For Jude, the finale marked a significant early milestone in his design career. At 23, he presented a collection rooted in structured tailoring and became the Season 22 winner after progressing through the competition. The finale also represented an important moment for the designer as he brought his work from his early career and design education to one of fashion television’s largest stages.
Bi Pham — Bi entered the finale recognized for his distinctive approach to ready-to-wear and craftsmanship. During the New York event, Justyn spoke with Bi while he was also presenting and selling garments on the second floor. “Amazing work on the show. Love your style and brand identity, it’s you,” Justyn told him. Bi responded, “Thank you so much. And, thank you for coming.” His finale collection included an all-black look that received strong attention from the judges, while his white look became one of the more debated pieces of the final presentation.
Joseph McRae — Joseph’s return to Project Runway made his Season 22 appearance particularly notable. After previously competing in Season 21, McRae returned for another opportunity to present his work on the show’s largest season to date. His win included a $200,000 prize, six months of representation with Agentry PR, mentorship through the CFDA, and a feature in ELLE Magazine.
