Mood Fabrics and GZTV Set the Stage for a Historic Fashion Week Season
Updated: Oct 11

ATLANTA, GA — Mood Fabrics and GZTV hosted Matcha & Fashion on September 3 at the Mood Fabrics Showroom at Ponce City Market, bringing fashion professionals and creatives together for a Fashion Week preparation experience focused on history, preparation, and community.

The event featured Versailles 1973 model Jennifer Brice, Ursula Wiedmann model Kylie Rain, and award-winning international fashion model Justyn Burgest-Graham. The speakers explored Fashion Week History, Fashion Week Preparation, and Building Community, connecting the legacy of previous generations with the preparation required by today’s designers, models, and creative professionals. Additionally, she received a Proclamation from the City of Atlanta declaring September 17 as “Jennifer Brice Appreciation Day,” and the event at Mood Fabrics with GZTV celebrated the lead-up to the presenting ceremony at Neiman Marcus.
Brice, who participated in the historic 1973 Battle of Versailles, reflected on the experience, stating, “This event was magnificent. Justyn is amazing, and I am thankful to share this moment with him.”
Mood executives also expressed their enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Mood is excited to partner with GZTV and support everything they are doing in the fashion industry.” Attendees echoed the value of the programming, with one guest describing the experience as “one of my favorite industry fashion events I’ve been to as it has been so informative for my career.”
Designers, models, stylists, influencers, and creative directors representing established fashion houses and brands attended the event. Programming also reflected principles taught through the Fashion Council of America program, where Burgest-Graham serves as President, as well as themes explored in his forthcoming book, The Model Standard.
The event carries significance for both Mood Fabrics and GZTV. With Mood’s established three-story New York City location, expansion into Chicago, and new Atlanta showroom, the company continues extending its reach within the fashion community. Guests received complimentary matcha from Neighborhood Treehouse, including a special GZTV flavor. Guest speakers also received GZTV care packages and complimentary annual memberships. WHYME Institute of Fashion, POSH VIP, and Hollyland Tech supported the event.

This Fashion Week season marked a significant moment for both Mood Fabrics and GZTV, bringing together fashion history, record-breaking achievement, and expanded industry production. Mood Fabrics’ New York flagship became the setting for Max Alexander’s launch of the Mood × Max Alexander collection, where the 10-year-old designer officially earned two additional Guinness World Records: youngest person to release a fabric/textile line and fastest time to thread an automatic sewing machine. The achievement added international attention to Mood Fabrics’ Fashion Week presence while positioning its New York location as a place where emerging talent, innovation, and major fashion moments converge.
For GZTV, the season represented a substantial expansion of its role within New York Fashion Week. GZTV worked directly with Fashion Bomb Daily on its 20th-anniversary Bomb Fashion Show through casting, production, and styling, while also contributing production to Art Hearts Fashion, with that presentation becoming part of GZTV’s upcoming Fashion Week programming. Fashion Bomb Daily’s show itself marked two decades of the publication’s influence and its sixth annual Fashion Show, while Art Hearts Fashion continued its New York Fashion Week programming showcasing designers and artists. To celebrate Fashion Week season, GZTV is making access to the platform free throughout the month of September. Audiences can explore GZTV’s fashion films, original productions, industry programming, and Fashion Calendar at no cost during the month.
The September initiative allows both fashion professionals and audiences worldwide to experience GZTV’s growing catalog during one of the industry’s most significant seasons, while discovering the designers, models, stories, and productions shaping fashion today.
As part of their Fashion Week preparation programming, Mood Fabrics and GZTV are releasing Fashion in Conversation, a special three-part series bringing together influential voices from different generations and areas of the fashion industry. Filmed at Mood Fabrics, the series examines Fashion Week beyond the runway through firsthand experiences, industry knowledge, and conversations surrounding the history, business, and community that continue to shape fashion. The series gives viewers an opportunity to hear directly from professionals who have experienced the industry from different perspectives while providing insight for both established creatives and those preparing to enter the fashion world.
The series features Jennifer Brice discussing her firsthand experience modeling in the historic Battle of Versailles and its lasting influence on Fashion Week; Kylie Rain examining the transition from runway to commercial modeling and what clients look for in talent; and Justyn Burgest-Graham discussing the importance of building community and creating meaningful opportunities within fashion. Through Fashion in Conversation, Mood Fabrics and GZTV extend their Fashion Week partnership beyond preparation, creating programming that preserves industry stories, shares professional knowledge, and connects audiences with the people shaping fashion across generations.
