Atlanta, GA — WHYME Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting, advocating for, and empowering fashion models and creatives, announces that all students who complete its five-month certification program will attend New York Fashion Week as part of an all-expenses-paid, post-graduation experience, in collaboration with GZTV Inc.
As the next Atlanta cohort prepares to begin, the announcement underscores WHYME’s mission: to ensure that emerging models are not only seen, but protected, informed, and positioned with the tools necessary to navigate the industry with clarity and authority.
A Certification Built on Advocacy and Real Experience
While not a traditional school, WHYME Institute delivers a rigorous, experience-based certification program developed from two years of instruction at Georgia State University. The five-month curriculum is designed to provide aspiring models with accredited credentials, professional training, and the essential knowledge often missing from early industry exposure.
Through the WHYME Curriculum students are trained to understand:
Their rights, protections, and professional standards within the modeling industry
The business structure of modeling, including contracts, rates, and representation
How to navigate agencies, castings, and industry environments responsibly
Personal development, discipline, and long-term career strategy
The program centers on education as protection, ensuring models are equipped before entering high-pressure, high-visibility spaces.
From Certification to Industry Access: New York Fashion Week
Upon successful completion, graduates will travel together to New York City to attend New York Fashion Week, a defining moment that transitions students from training into real-world exposure.
This is not positioned as a standalone experience, but as an extension of the certification itself. Graduates will step into one of the most influential environments in global fashion, surrounded by designers, agents, casting directors, photographers, and industry leadership.
WHYME coordinates this experience as a collective introduction, ensuring that each graduate enters with preparation, community, and a clear understanding of how to operate within the space.
Preparing Models for a Changing Industry
In addition to foundational training, the curriculum addresses the evolving nature of fashion, including the role of artificial intelligence and digital media. Students gain insight into how technology is reshaping modeling, while learning how to remain competitive, informed, and adaptable.
This forward-facing approach ensures that WHYME graduates are not only prepared for today’s industry, but for what comes next.
A Limited, Intentional Cohort
The Atlanta-based program maintains a limited enrollment to preserve the integrity and impact of the experience. Each participant receives focused instruction within a structured environment designed to produce confident, knowledgeable, and industry-aware professionals.
Students receive:
A five-month certification program grounded in real industry application
Accredited curriculum and professional development training
A comprehensive textbook included with enrollment
The New York Fashion Week graduation experience, fully covered
Tuition & Program Structure
The WHYME certification program is offered through tuition, covering the full curriculum, resources, and materials, including the official textbook and New York Fashion Week experience.
Due to the exclusivity of the program and the investment made into each participant, all tuition payments are final and non-refundable.
